Professor Michael HowardProfessor Howard was, for many years, Regius Professor of Modern History at
Oxford and at one time held the Chichele Professorship of the History of War at
All Souls College. Recently he has been outspoken in his views on
the war against terrorism and has gifted his lecture to the Guardian/Royal
United Services Institute (October 2001) to Westmorland General Meeting's
