Dr Scilla Elworthy
Dr. Scilla Elworthy is director of the Oxford Research Group (ORG) and
trained a s a social scientist. She was previously consultant on womens'
issues to UNESCO, research director of the Minority Rights group in France and
author of studies on the role of women in international relations. Her PhD
was on the subject of British nuclear-weapons policy. In 2001 she was
nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for the third time. ORG is
